Something Beautiful
This is our first official announcement about some new, exciting (and surprising) things going on with the Vann's. Last week we found out we are PREGNANT. Can you believe it?? Neither can we! It has been so exciting and crazy around here this past week. We told our families and they are so happy for us. We are still in shock, but after yesterday I think it finally sunk in for both of us. Yesterday was my first Dr. appointment in College Station. (Due to some insurance stuff, my first two visits are in College Station.) So, I drove in from Sugar Land and Jenn Bacak went with me. It was so great having her there with me (Nick couldn't go because he had to work). The visit went great. The Dr. asked me a lot questions and then she did an ultrasound. Before the ultrasound she said I was probably about 7 weeks along, but when she did the ultrasound she figured out we are only about 4.5 weeks pregnant. So crazy!! We are so excited and could not be happier for our little "Mini" Vann. God has blessed us with something so beautiful! I will go back in two weeks and we will hear a little heartbeat. Here is our little peanut. The dark spot on the left is the little Vann.

YAY! We are so excited that your appointment went well yesterday and CAN HARDLY WAIT to meet our new niece or nephew!!! We are praying and will continue throughout the next 8 months! God has perfect timing and gives THE MOST precious gifts. What an exciting time for our family :) Love all three of you!

Carissa, this is so exciting, I can hardly stand it. Getting to stand next to you and say hi to your little peanut baby was a very precious moment to me. I can't wait for your next appt.! I get to experience all the fun stuff without any vomiting whatsoever. This is great!
I sure hope this baby likes the beach, and likes long car rides, because he/she is going to Padre!

By the way, Matt thinks that if it's a girl you should name it Cara. (He thinks he's just hilarious)
How exciting! We will be praying for you guys...God has truly blessed you both and we can't wait to meet the new mini Vann! You and Mel aren't far a part...ya'll can do breathing exercises together. :)
There should really be no debate about what to name this kid. "Mini" has to be the name!! That is brilliant.

Sooooo exciting! We just LOVE this for you guys! You guys are going to be fantastic parents - Nick's going to be an incredible, loving, leading father and Carissa is going to be a wonderful example of a godly wife for this young child as he or she grows into godly maturity! Praise the Lord!
P.S. If it's a girl, can we betroth Jude and her?!? :)

So, I rarely get to chekc blogs and if I do it is just a quick glance at the Bacaks to see picutres of theiur children- but theirs pointed me to yours and your exciting news! I am so happy for you about the great jobs, church, and yay- the baby! Miss seeing you guys.
